i have problem with a Novell running computer. The Machine Config is as below:
Intel PIII 1.20 Mhz
Intel 810ET motherboard [mercury]
Novell Netware 4 running as Server with 40GB HDD,
Few days ago the mainboard was not functioning properly due to keyboard socket damage by the workers. I tried to repair the mainboard but it wasn't successfull. So i have to change the mainboard. I tried to running the Server with other 810 M/B but its not worked. At last i found another 810ET m/b and its works properly with another problem.
The previous m/b has three PCI slot without onboard USB, and the LANCARD was in slot 2. The new m/b has also 3 PCI, but it has onboard USB. when i start the server, it searching for the LANCARD in slot 2, but detected in slot 4 and networking is failed. i got the point that it takes the USB as slot 1 & 2, then PCI 3, 4 & 5. now i have to disable the USB or make the counting from PCI. i tried with BIOS [disable onboard USB]. but its not working. it takes the counting from USB.
can anyone give me the idea who to change the BIOS config to make the counting from PIC with disabling onboard USB. its a urget matter.
