So guys from nowhere I see this on my Dell U2412M monitor, *photos.app.goo.gl/CGzc5XamXq0BVjC32

No, it didn't have any impact with anything, just came out of nowhere! It's 4 years old, so Dell said they can't do anything as out-of-warranty unit! I'm shocked, but still at the same time I need a monitor.

Can't spend shite behind it, so 10-12k is my budget. Anything decent possible? I can even buy a used unit, no problem with that.

Just these are needed:

IPS panel with very good colour accuracy/calibration, as low response time as possible (I play CSS and planning to play Go, amongst other games), that's it.

24 inches I've set my eyes up with, so can't go below that. But I'm not sure about the resolution. I mean going to 1080p from 1200p will be a problem or what? In 1200p there are the few likes of U2415 or BenQ which are over my budget at the moment!

Just shoot me with some suggestions. Lost faith on Dell though. And if possible a company which provides more than 3-year warranty.

Both of these are good choices.

I shortlisted three monitors,

1- LG 24MP59G. 12900

2- LG 25UM58. 15900. The resolution of this really attracts me but narrow vertical size I might not like. Also I only have a 970, so not sure.

Both above are capable of 75Hz I think. So might come handy in CS LoL.

3- Dell P2417H. Seems to me the closest alternative to U2412M. 14900

Which one to choose and why? LoL

Thanks. I was looking into this model myself actually, has good reviews and all, then decided up increase budget and go for U2415. But finally I'm going for VA panel with 144 Hz, some Samsung lc24fg70fq model. I've gone nuts.

Oh I don't even like Samsung and I am not sure about the longevity of the monitor/panel itself. I'm just going with it because it's 144 Hz and I've been playing a lot of CS of late, and it's at least not TN. Not sure whether I'm taking right decision or not.
