1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.' Vague answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work.)

Gaming and casual browsing. Far Cry 5, COD Black Ops Cold war, COD Warzone, Cyberpunk, Resident Evil all in at least 1440P settings. Might also try my hands on PUBG and APEX legends.
Wifey would also use it for editing some videos for youtube.

I had a stone age old PC and already upgraded Monitor, Proccy, MB and RAM on it last year.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then please mention.

50-55k for GPU + PSU. Planning to buy within mid August
Can extend 5k, if required.

3. Planning to overclock?

No

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?

Windows 10

5. How much hard drive / solid-state drive space is needed?

I have Seagate 500GB Hard drive and 500GB SSD.

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention the screen size and resolution you prefer. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, then do mention the screen size and resolution of the monitor you have

No, I have MSI MAG 274QRF 27' monitor.

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy? i.e. which components you already have and plan on reusing?

Point #11 below have the list of the current component. From those, I believe I can use these.
  • Monitor
  • Cabinet – Cooler Master K380, planning to move to white-black theme build so have Lian Li Lancool II Mesh in mind to be purchased later.
  • Seagate 500GB Hard Drive, SSD 500GB
8. When are you planning to buy the system?

by mid August

9. Have you ever built a desktop before? Or, will this be done by an assembler?

Yes, I can assemble it myself.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?

Lucknow, UP. Ready to buy offline and online both.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?

The current setup is as below -

Processor - AMD 5600X

Motherboard - MSI B550 Gaming Plus

RAM - 2x8 GB XPG D60 DDR4 3200Mhz

Monitor - MSI MAG 274QRF, 27 inch

PSU - Corsair CX500V2

GPU - MSI GT730 (have Sapphire Radeon HD 6770 as well though not usable due to being very old and not compatible but still works fine)

Keyboard - Logitech MK200 KB + Mouse (will upgrade this later with Cabinet)

Thinking of getting NZXT 750W or 850W for PSU.
For GPU, Heart wants 3080 or 6800XT but budget allows 6700XT or 3070. Confused what to buy and if required should wait a bit or not?

I'd suggest waiting for a month, or at least a couple of weeks. With next gen GPUs unraveling even more, prices are bound to take a deeper dip. An RTX 3070 for about 50k and a XPG Core Reactor 750w for 7.6k should fit in your budget.
I wouldn't recommend waiting till RTX 4000 or RX 7000 though, due to inflation and a soaring ₹ value (1$=80₹??).

Tier A modular gold PSU, grab ASAP for 5.7k:
MSI MPG A750GF 80 Plus Gold 750W PSU

GPU - Zotac 3060Ti for 40k:
Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Twin Edge 8GB GDDR6
Register within 30days to get total of 5 years of warranty.

Elitehubs is a trusted website. I have bought only a mouse from them, still saying.

Will 3060ti will be able to handle 1440p in all games for couple of years atleast? I have purchased CM headphones from elitehubs last year.

Agreed, don't want to wait a year more.
6700XT is retailing for 44K and 6800XT for 60K. Using AMD GPU with AMD proccy would be of any good, maybe enabling SAM.?

I use 3070 & I feel 3060Ti is more than enough for 1440p gaming for a few years, unless you expect 1440p ultra 100+fps, in which case, you need 6800XT or 3080.

You should be able to enable reBAR for Nvidia GPUs as well via mobo BIOS.

I will prefer 3060Ti over 6700XT because of better RT & DLSS is superior right now. If you are an AMD fan, sure, get 6700XT, which has a big advantage in terms of VRAM. Anyways for now you need not use DLSS or FSR at 1440p, RT is still very heavy. Also, 5 year Zotac warranty is nice to have. Take your call.

That MSI PSU is a good deal. Definitely consider investing in it first.
As for the GPU, I'd say that the RX 6700 XT would be a better choice. It's 12GB memory buffer will definitely serve you better than the 3060 Ti in future titles. You get the benefits of SAM and FSR 2.0 as well. AMD seems to be killing it with their recent driver updates, giving owners extra fps every update.
This should give some demo of FSR/RSR and SAM.
(Btw, in the video, an RX 6750 XT is used. Don't bother. Its pretty much an OC'ed RX 6700 XT.)

In case you can increase the budget to 60k, this is like 45% or so faster than 3060Ti, even 6700XT:
Sapphire Nitro+ AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT SE 16GB GDDR6
54k for GPU + 5.7k for PSU, so about 60k vs like 46k for 3060Ti + PSU.

Thanks, I just saw this deal in my FB feed as well. I guess i am gonna pull the trigger on this one but I think now i would need 850W PSU?

My friend is running Powercolor Red Devil 6800XT with 750W gold PSU (NZXT C750). Will be fine as long as you don't plan to upgrade CPU to something that can consume 150W+. My i5 12400 + RTX 3070 240W draws upto 400W from wall while gaming (I have measured it), that one should draw 500W or so. GPUs can be undervolted to potentially reduce power draw & temps without reducing performance much, so that can be done if you plan to upgrade CPU.
