Upgrading my system, need help

I am planning to upgrade my current rig. Following are the current specs:

Proccy: i3-2100 @ 3.1 GHz
Mobo: Intel H67
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 500 GB + Seagate Barracuda 2 TB
RAM: 2 X 1 GB DDR3 @ 1333 MHz + Kingston Value RAM 4 GB @ 1333 MHz
PSU: Corsair GS600
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GTX 750Ti
UPS: APC Back UPS RS1100
Monitor: Dell S2240L
Cabinet: NZXT Gamma
Keyboard, Mouse etc (They are not so important for this discussion)

Anyways, everything is good about my sytem except for motherboard which is not performing the way it should. The sound output seems to have degraded, USB ports are not functioning properly.

I need help with the following queries:

1. Since I am tight on budget, should I just change my motherboard and RAM (1600 MHz) ?

2. I can go an extra mile and change motherboard as well as processor but budget is strictly limited to 15000 INR. RAM can be bought later, I will have to save up for it. So, my point is, if I invest 15000 INR in processor and motherboard, it should perform for at least the next 4-5 years.

Please give your valuable suggestions, thanks in advance.

since u have very tight budget, i suggest u to save that money n increase it over the period.. n upgrade ur system after a year or two..if u get a expensive motherboard, it will go vein after two year since processor will get old n u will need to upgrade both parts again.. latest 6th gen processors are not easily available nor they are cheap..4th gen i5 range is starting from 13k which i could suggest for performance improvements but adding motherboard to that will go out of ur budget..try to find workaround for non-functioning things or repair it..

I agree with bhushan2k. In my opinion, the future proof rig has the latest CPU and the new MOBO with the latest technology. For most future proofing rig use the overclocking CPU to increase the maximum speed as per application requirements.

Just a suggestion, for RAM up gradation, if you run 2 sticks of 1600 Mhz; you will be running memory in dual channel which will be a greater increase in performance than running a single stick in single channel.

suggesting latest i3 won't make much noticeable difference for u.. so get at least latest 4th gen i5 + compatible board.

assuming u have 3 sticks of RAM as u mentioned

RAM: 2 X 1 GB DDR3 @ 1333 MHz + Kingston Value RAM 4 GB @ 1333 MHz

get this rig:

i5 4440 @12.8k
GIGABYTE B85m-d3sh @5.7k
total 18.5k

if u gonna use up to two sticks of RAM then get

GIGABYTE Ga-h81m-s @3.1k
total 15.9k

better mb option for above

ASUS H81M-CS -H81 @3.4k
total 16.2k
