I have an iMac 27-inch (Late 2013) which came preinstalled with 8 GB of RAM (4GB x 2).
I'm looking to upgrade the RAM to preferably 16GB, but I can go above and beyond.
My question is, since it has two 4GB modules, will a third 8 GB module be compatible with the setup (leaving one slot unused)? Or is it that the slots must be used in multiples of 2 only?
If they are not compatible, can I add two 8GB modules to the existing 4GB modules (total of 24GB)?
PS: Any information on where I can buy RAM modules in Pune will also be appreciated. Thanks.
