surf, watch movies n rarely any HD movies and play games rarely and i am ok with medium end games. wont play any high end games

6) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places, leaving it on your desk or both?
not much but little

7) Will you be playing games on your notebook? If so, please state which games or types of games?
medium graphic games wont play any high end ones

8) How many hours of battery life do you need?
4-5 hours

9) Would you prefer to see the notebooks you're considering before purchasing it or buying a notebook on-line without seeing it is OK?
its ok even if i dont see cause i can always go to shop and have a look and if thats not possible i can see in google and adjust with it

10) What OS do you prefer? Windows (XP or Vista or Windows 7), Mac OS, Linux, etc.
windows 7 is ok and even linux is ok with me

ok fine i will go with e series only... but i am curious y not dell inspiron 15r?? actually i was going for dell in the beginning as i liked but now i changed cause of u people who who suggested me to go for e series so i will go for it but i am curious thats all... can i get reason? and if there is any other laptop also u can suggest so i can check that once too....

actually i called the dell toll free number and spoke with sales executive and he even sent a quotation now i need to give dd to the bangalore place where he is staying. that place is near my house so he told for me to directly come and give the dd on the name of "dell india pvt ltd" everything is fine but i am scared of one thing....

wat if he says i never received the dd from this person or something like that happen??? cause if anything like that happen i will be killed so only...


please help me on this... THIS IS A BIT URGENT AND I AM SCARED TOO... :"(

to answer your question, i would advise you to contact dell support and ask them if its ok to give the dd to the sales guy and ask them what name the d/d should be payable to? this is to verify if he does not fraud the name payable to..

XPS= great!

Btw why are you going into all the hassle with the dd and stuff with the sales executive? Just buy from a retail outlet. no worries.

in retail outlet we wont get everything which are needed like backlit keyboard and stuff like that so only was going through the trouble doing online.....

and as samudragupta told i will just cross check it with customer support person. well any more suggestions it would be good too....

thanks for the guys who helped me so far....... i am just trying to be cautious thats all. so if any one bought the laptop online from dell it would be good..... i could get a thing or two from him

hmm ok i called dell support today and they connected me to sales department and then i spoke with some other sales person and i asked him about handing over dd to sales person he told yes.

and i forgot to reconfirm the name payable to. i will call again now and do that.


and i am planning on taking my dd photocopy and when i give my dd to him i will just take a sign and date on the photocopy so i can have a hard copy proof that i submitted my dd to sales guy...

And other normal things....

Cost : 52.7k.......

N the sounds of xps rocks... U.don't need any external speakers only.....

Can't wait to get my lappy.....

rest assured. Demand Drafts are one of the safest way to pay. you can fully track your DD payments. the dd can only be redeemed by the one you make payment to. Furthermore you can cancel a dd anytime before payment is made.

and after the payment is made you can file a case in one of a court.
