Unable to connect bluetooth speakers with my Laptop

Shobhit Saxena

Right off the assembly line
Hi All,
I've recently purchased JBL Go Bluetooth Speakers. I am having issues while connecting it to my laptop.
The issue is coming over because the device driver software is not getting installed in my system to support the device. Can anyone please help?

Does it tell you that driver for Bluetooth Peripheral Device not found?
Or what is the device name it shows for which driver did not install. You may have to re-run the pairing to know this.
If you are using Windows, did you try to set the option to check for windows update for suitable drivers just in case?

Yes, exactly. That is the error which I am getting.

Have you tried enabling 'Search drivers in windows update'?
What OS you have?
Check if JBL has published any driver on their site?
You can also try installing Microsoft Windows mobile device center app, that might have a suitable driver for BT. Search for the same on MS site or Google.
Do create a restore point before you attempt this so that in case of any issues you can restore to earlier state. This is meant for Windows phone device but if it has any generic driver, it might work with your speakers. Give it a try.

There are third party tools that claim to scan your PC for missing drivers and driver updates online but in my opinion they do more harm to your system than any good. Browser hijack, malware and viruses are integral part of such tools, So I won't recommend them. If you are still tempted to attempt it create a restore point and then fiddle with it.
