TV as Monitor

Is it technically possible to use the television as the monitor. If yes how can I do that, what are the constraints and advantages. What extra hardware and software would be necesary for that. If I do have the TV Tuner card will that be of any use to the above mentioned query.

U will need a gfx card with TV out, atleast Rs 2,500 for that

But belive me if U use TV as monitor U will kill your eyes, it is really bad when it comes to reading on a TV

U can also do the other way round.. Monitor as a TV. Hardware is almost the same. most tuner cards and latest gfx cards have tv in and tv out.. Enjoy..
