Do u have the linux installation in a primary and bootable partition, then deleting the partition will destroy the 'ntldr' i.e. the boot loader.

Get urself a floppy disk and format it. When formatting, select Create an MS-DOS startup disk in the checkbox. Then format the floppy.

Reboot the PC and check if booting from the floppy can be done. Then format the linux drive. Reboot from the floppy. Enter command
Code:
fixmbr
and press enter. The boot sector should be repaired. Try booting the PC. If nothing happens or PC is saying bootloader is missing, then reboot from floopy and enter
Code:
fixboot
it should fix the whole thing then.
