Upgrade done Got the gigabyte mobo as suggested.
The results are as expected, no major change in everyday performance. However minimum FPS have gotten a LOT better. red dead 2 used to hit 15 minimum, now its 30+ . There were also rare stuttering.. In the game 'Control', loading times were very slow earlier, which was a deal breaker since I die a lot in that game. Now loading times are so much saner.
Overall its good, upgrading is fun. But its interesting to note the i3-3220 is still fantastic for everyday use.

Have you got the ram upgrade as well if not there will be hiccups in rdr2 as 16gb ram is recommended
