In the zone
vista will require minimum 512MB ram and as you have inbuilded graphic card, it will have some shared memory so you will not able to install vista.
borrow RAM from friend and increase it above 512M.B. install vista-remove borrowed ram and put back your 512MB RAM. vista will run on it .
for smootly running vista atleast 1GB ram is require and if you want AERO feature you need a graphic card with 128M.B. RAM

Broken In
Vista Does nt have much to far apart from the interface and the appeal.....
So My suggestion for u is
instead of installin vista go for vista transformation pack which makes ur xp look like vista ....it changes everything from icons to task bar....

But if u still wanna go with vista ...go ahead and install it ...Ur pc is descent enought to run vista..BUt all the fancy frills will be turned off
The 3d user interface will be turned
so dude go for vtp6 instead of goin for vista

i've used the same mobo with Vista both with a 6200 256MB 8x AGP card and without it,and performance is not that smooth without a agp card.
so if u wanna use Vista, better buy urself more RAM and a AGP card.

Vista will run if your ONBOARD shares the RAM and you have only 512 ram installed... i have tried it.. and it will surely install..

but you should have some more RAM... to run a smoothly

Add another 512 stick and increase gfx shared memory bfrom BIOS..... preferably add a gfx card (256)... That should be enough for Vista to run smoothly......

gooby pls
@amit gala: Add another 512MB RAM DDR 400.Even 1 GB isn't enough for Vista.
Your onboard graphics shared up to 64MB.

Hey friend the only thing you have to upgrade is to upgrade your Ram to atleast 1 Gb as it is recommended by Microsoft. Moreover buy a new motherboard as this one is backword without DDR2 support no PCI-e slot.
