This is especially useful if you need to scan a LOT of pages in one go. If you don't know what it is, basically it's a feed tray in your printer which scans a large number of pages in one go automatically. Personally, I've owned a Brother DCP-7065DN for a long time now, and it has made life less miserable when I need to deal with a lot of paperwork.
The one downside is that an AIO like mine takes a fair bit of space, certainly more than a normal flat bed scanner, but newer models may be more compact than my particular model.
