Thermal shutdown due to AMD Radeon 7450M Powerplay

Right off the assembly line
The problem i am experiencing is that whenever i switch powerplay to maximize performance my GPU temp just increases to 90C, seems like fan doesn't work and system powers down due to maybe thermal shutdown. But when powerplay is set to maximize battery life the temperature remains fine and i can play games fine.
In maximize battery life core runs at 300Mhz only which is not good heavy games.

Is this a problem with driver or my system ?

Suggestions please.

Does the shutdown occur only when you are playing games or just when the computer is not doing anything intensive?

In the first case you cant really do much, except maybe buy a fan and hope it works (most fans are nearly useless), if its the second case we may be able to help.

> Update all drivers.

> Install HwInfo and keep an eye on all temperatures.

> Run Furmark and note the temperature when (in case) the system shuts down.
