Tablet ~15K

My friend has been wanting to buy a Tablet under 15K and has not been able to come up with a decent choice so it would be great if you could drop in a few advices..

Requirement - Day to day work
Screen - 10' - 10.5'
Specifications - None as such but a decent processor is a must.
Price - Max 15K
Note - Must be compatible with an external HDD (OTG)


PS - I have been off the forum for quite some time so if there is a questionnaire for tablets also then i apologize..)

I did a my share of analysis last month.

I had few contenders:
1. Xiaomi MI Pad
2. Asus ZenPad


I finally got Xiaomi Mi Pad for following reasons:
1. Excellent Display in price range
2. External SD Card upto 128 GB - I am using SanDisk 64 GB and it works like a charm
3. Huge battery life. 11+ hrs for video play back - Standby time i measured till 3 days and gave it up
4. 2 GB ram and NVidia Tegra K1 processor - superb multitasking
5. OTG - I tried with 1 TB HDD (External Power) works perfectly

Cons(Not really cons but nagging nonetheless)
1. Letterboxing in video (Use MX Player)
2. No SIM (Use dongle as otg if so needed)

mi pad is 3:4, its not for movies, videos.
in this range there is no solid tablet, been searching since 2 years.
u can try lenovo tab s8

Mipad2 has already launched in china, should be launched here soon..but the aspect ratio is same as mipad..4:3

iBall Slide Brace X1 is a better choice at that budget.
You get a 10.1" screen with sim slot as well as OTG cable(accessory) to connect to an external HDD/Mouse/Pendrive/etc...

iBall has come a long way,than what it was 3 yrs. back.
