I am having this problem from yesterday. The system suddenly hangs, the screen goes blank and nothing works. The keyborad lights are stuck and can't be toggled.

Initially, when I was working, the screen suddenly went all blurry - like looking through crystallized glass or something and then it hung. This happened for 2 times. After this, the system directly hangs without even the blurry screen. Sometimes, the system even refuses to start up. No POST, can't even get to BIOS. So, this doesn't look like a windows problem as the system even refuses to start up.

I have 2 1GB RAM sticks. I tried removing one (fearing it is a RAM issue) of those and starting, but the same thing happens - the system restarts. You can find my system config in my signature. Any help will be highly appreciated.

Are you having some BSODs as well ? If you are, please state the error message here.

I think this is a display driver related problem. Try the latest GeForce driver from nVidia site and check if the problem is solved.

Nope, no BSODs.

I dont think it is a display driver problem, cause it sometimes refuses to startup - not even POST/BIOS.

Legen-wait for it-dary!
We have 3 suspects - RAM, Mobo, and PSU.

For RAM, try Memcheck.
For PSU, try a different PSU.
If not, its the Mobo.
