I think it has been asked plenty of times, but spare me the brunt. I need a laptop for my cousin.

1) What is your budget?
Under 50k.

2) What size & weight consideration (if any) would you prefer?
Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen

4) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?
Gaming(at medium settings?), HD movies, some college work.

Don't go for the GT740.....

still GT750M > GT650M> GT740M, if you could extend your budget to 70K, i would have suggested Lenovo Ideapad Y500 (59-379647) Laptop (3rd Gen Ci7/ 8GB/ 1TB/ Win8/ 2GB GT750M). At your current budget point, GT650M is the best deal. Samsung way to go.

^^+1 . 740m's only advantage over 650m is power consumption. As far as i have seen , its not only better GPU but sammy's providing 1600*900 screen. Nvidia is crap when it comes to naming its GPU's.
Go, for this if you are spending 50-52k , unless of course you dislike the company. :)
P.S.:- does samsung one has optimus technology???

yes, the lenovo i mentioned above has 1366*768 monitor which imo is a wrong design decision from lenovo, honestly a 750M demands at least a 1600*900 monitor, samsung has advantage on that...

also it supports optimus...check their official site

The asus laptop has GT630M, which is 30-40% slower than the Samsung with GT650M in any recent titles. Not recommended at the price point.
