Suggest new features & changes for the Windows 8.

Recent leak of the Windows 8 UI (see the News section) intrigued me to start this this thread.

Suggest:

1. What new features you want to see in Windows 8 ?
2. What complete overhaul of functionality you would like to see in Windows 8 ?
3. What Windows annoyances (which still exist) you want to get rid of in Windows 8 ?

P.S.: This thread is not meant for arguing whether Windows is better or Linux or Mac. Please use another thread for that.

1. What new features you want to see in Windows 8 ?

Bundle Perl, Python, OpenJDK with the OS.
Get a centralized software installer, which can allows all installed apps to get updated with Windows update.

2. What complete overhaul of functionality you would like to see in Windows 8 ?

Instead of relying on file extensions for executables, it should work on permissions. Also permissions and user security should be made more strict.

3. What Windows annoyances (which still exist) you want to get rid of in Windows 8 ?

Get rid of the "Ultimates OS", "Business Edition", etc. crap and just release one single Windows 8 for customers.
Get rid of the registry.

Well, I will support the "registry" thing. It is the centralized point of errors & annoyances.

Also, I would like to see better handling of software installations such that every file copied & every registry key added during installation is kept track of & the totally deleted when the software is uninstalled.

i have read in lifehacker blog that windows 7 already has the most optimised registry....i mean u don't have to worry abt registry bloating or errors like earlier versions of windows
