Suggest a Laptop for my friend. Budget max 40K

My friend wants a laptop.
He needs it for all uses. I mean casual gaming. Mainly Internet usage. (Not going for a netbook.)

Acceptable battery life etc. . .

He prefers DELL laptops. Second he like Sony vaio series.
Mention other good laptops under 40K also guys.
