Right off the assembly line
1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Gaming (primarily FPS such as BF4, COD on medium settings) and some coding. I don't want to buy a console separately for gaming. Maybe video editing after 1-2 yrs.
2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 35k-40k.
3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: No
4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Win 8.1 student pro
5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 500Gigs would be sufficient since i already have a 1TB external.
6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Yes. budget: ~5k
7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: None. Starting from scratch.
8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: This sunday, would be going to nehru place..
9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: No. The shopkeeper would arrange for that.
10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Delhi. will be shopping from NP
11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: Need the config to be future proof(moderately) for 3-4yrs.

As of now my config is like this:
i5 4440 - 10.5k
Gigabyte h97 d3h 6k
gtx 750ti 2GB 10.6k (can wait till next feb'15 for the price drop)
antec vp550 2.5k
G.skill ripjaws 2 x 4GB 5.6k
Barracuda 1TB 3.4k (since not much diff in prices of 500gb nd 1tb)
Any ITX case ~3k
(maybe CM 130)
Win 8.1 student pro 4k
Monitor suggest one (~5k)
UPS suggest one (~2)
As you can see, I've gone way over budget. Will need some cost cutting.
