Suffering From Moody Resolution

Dear Digit,
I am using Monitor : LG Flatron L1752S (17 Inch LCD) With Mine PC (845GVSR 2.4 Ghz MotherBoard With P4 Processor) Now a days I have Suffeing From Display Resolution i.e I use to Set mine Resolution 1024 X 768, Some times When I Restart Mine Pc then The Resolution Automatically Changes to 1280 X 1024. To Fix This Problem i Tries to to Change Some Settings >> Display properties >> Advanced >> Monitor >> (Here is The Problem In Monitor Section Nothing is Appering As you can see in the Pic)

So, I want to Know is their any Way to Fix that Resolution problem?? If Yes Please help

Well, I dont have a solution, but a bigger resolution is always better, isnt it? You get more work area, plus you can use your monitor to the fullest potential.

Not if it is not the *native* resolution of the LCD
EDIT: Sorry, but I'm not sure if an LCD can display upper resolution than its native resolution.

Try by first removing and then (re)installing the video driver.

LCD should be used at native resolution. For 17" it is 1280x768. Stick to this resolution. reinstall VGA card and monitor's drivers.

^^ 17" non-Widescreens have native of 1280x1024, his is also a non-widescreen. His monitor's native resolution is 1280x1024. Tech Specs of his monitor.

Exactly what I was trying to say, bigger resolution is alway better You get more work area. Unless you are trying to read some long text on internet, you can lower it then.
