I used frontpage for webpage authoring and publishing in windows ......but wat would be the best substitute for frontpage on LINUX.

Thanx 4 the link firewall ....i have already seen the link ....wat i wanted to know here was ....personal choice of people who have actually used any of these and which one is best among these options .....so that i don't have to download and install 5-6 softwares .....and just get right one

SCreem is great and a good subsitute of frontpage. It is acronym of Site creating and editing environment. There are others too e.g. Quanta in Gnome.

Ok one question from me too,
is there any alternate for DreamWeaver MX in linux,
coz as far as i know they just hv Win**** & Mac versions.

OpenOffice.org will let you save in .htm format and won't bloat the file size with bulls**t like MSWord.

If you have a habit of Dreamweaver or the likes, then stick to it.. Mozilla/OO/Quanta/Bluefish are not up to the mark for you in that case..

GNU by JSP i mean JSp,
and by ASP yes i mean PHP,
i m looking for a tool which can help me in devloping JSP`s too,
I hv heard about IBM WSAD(Webspher) which is free for student level but don`t know where to find it, in IBM`s site no success...........
