I found opensuse in this month's subscription of subscription. I installed whatever i like.

But i think there was some problem with the installation:(. The monitor turns off when logon screen is to be appeared.:(

I think i got configuration settings as

Monitor LG 15 cm

and actually it is 17 cm

i will edit the configurations in my next install.

What do you people think, what is the cause, the configuration file or something else??

reinstall-format routine is for windows machines :) u have to edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf for the resolution u want and if u got ati or nvidia graphics u have to install their drivers(Proprietary) for full performance.
BTW,edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf and edit section 'screen' remove all resolutions except what u want!
