I have Windows Vista installed on my PC.What would be the best software to buy to clean and speed up my PC? I need the best registry cleaner available. Though there are many freebies offered, I am willing to pay for the best one for my pc. Can anyone suggest me the best program available for the purpose?

in my view 2 of the best cleaning and system speed up cleaners are 1.System mechanic and 2. Tuneup-Utitlities.Look for different features in tuneup software like reg.cleaner, disk cleaner, reg.defragment e.t.c in tune-up
also try 3.ashampoo win-optimizer
I suggest to perform system defragmentation once a aweek

I agree... Batistabomb. U said right. xcept 4 da disk defrag regularity.
System Mechanic & Ashampoo WinOptimizer r my fav tweaking & maintenance sw ever.

To clean clutter I use DiskCleaner anyway, small, light, free, no need to install too!

Use WinXP Manager

Best in cleaning junk files & registry & if u messed up some important system files or lost the system default configurations which r generally hidden 7 cannot be accesed by other softwares then use its "system repair option".

Different people may give you different opinion to you on this topic but I think registrycleanfix will be suitable for you. I have been using it for a period and it has never given me any problem. You can get it from *www.registrycleanfix.info.

+1 CCleaner.
You can always add a custom option to detect Readme.*, EULA.*, *.nfo, *.diz, *.old and so forth. Then again, you can use a batch file for the same.
