1. Budget?
Max 10K

2. Display type and size?
A min of 4" screen is good enough. Not looking for anything beyond 4.5".

3. Dual sim?
Nope

4. Preferred choice of brand?
Anything with a good after sales service. Would prefer to avoid Indian & Chinese brands.

5. What camera option you want (flash, front facing camera)?
A 5MP shooter would suffice. Front cam not a priority.

6. Preferred operating system? (Android, iOS, Windows Phone, etc).
Android / WP

7. Preferred connectivity options (3G, 4G ready).
3G

8. Primary use of handset (multimedia, camera, internet, gaming etc)?
Calls (GSM), texts, few apps, videos, emails, documents etc. No gaming!

9. Any specific mobile phones in consideration?
None

10. Any other info that you want to share
Need a phone that scores high on battery life. That's the main priority here. His phone is hyper active all the time. So need something that'll last!

I have considered (and used) the Moto E. I need something with a better battery backup. Is that the best this range can offer?

check out lumia 630(battery life is amazing)
you may even be able to score a 720 locally for 12-13k if you are lucky
otherwise moto e ticks all the boxes but battery life is bad
moto g is another option worth considering

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I'll have a look at the Zenfone 5 and Lumia 630 (he swears by Nokia :p).
