I need a new smartphone as I'm fed up with my N4's battery life

1. Budget? 25k max

2. Display type and size? Max 5" (max width of phone 70mm)

3. Dual sim? Would be a lifesaver if i get it :p

4. Preferred choice of brand? Any except Apple and non-Indian presence brands

5. What camera option you want (flash, front facing camera)? Best possible but not a dealbreaker

6. Preferred operating system? (Android, iOS, Windows Phone, etc). Android

7. Preferred connectivity options (3G, 4G ready). 4G, but not a dealbreaker

8. Primary use of handset (multimedia, camera, internet, gaming etc)? Internet browsing, photography & gaming

9. Any specific mobile phones in consideration?
- Sony Xperia Z3 Compact
- Xiaomi Mi4 64GB
- Samsung Galaxy Alpha

10. Any other info that you want to share
I'm fed up with my Nexus 4's battery life, so good battery life is compulsory & phone shouldn't be wider than 70mm I would prefer width similar to my N4, i.e. ~68mm, as I use phone single handedly ..... These are deal breakers

I will use the phone for atleast next 2-3 years(Thought the same about my N4 but now I'm changing it after 2 years). Developer support is required although I'm not planning to use custom ROMs if I buy anyone of the above 3 phones, but I would keep the phone rooted.

I'm more inclined towards Z3 Compact, which I'm getting from eBay with seller warranty. Phones from big manufacturers seem to have good reliability that is why I kept it in consideration. Otherwise my second option is Mi4

I'll buy it within next 2 weeks

z3 compact is really good.

mi4 is good too but it reportedly has heating issues and high sar.

Since ur planning for long-term use, u would be better off with z3 compact even though u pay a bit more. How much is it listed on eBay for? On FK its going for ~31k.

Theres also Moto X2 that u may consider, FK offers discounts frequently.

Other option could be waiting for new devices Q3 this year.

I personally didn't like Moto X2

In eBay I'm getting Z3C at 23.7k after offer but with "seller warranty"

Mi4 has high SAR value but I don't think i will feel the much talked about heating as I'm an Nexus 4 owner & my phone gets heated up pretty badly if I play online games on 3G(while charging in this condition, battery temp goes upto 46C)

still not a reason to diss the phone entirely,some people might get used to it
I have large hands and hate large phones but One Plus One seems just a little bit too large for my taste but not large enough for me not to try and get used to it

Id suggest getting a hands on(unless you already have)
because the phone as a whole is too sweet a deal

Z3C.... He doesn't even ship it to West Bengal, where my college is situated

I can get Mi4.... Now it got a 2k price cut too..... 64GB @ 20k

I personally didn't use OPO, but i have used many phablets. My friend imported a ZTE Nubia Z7. Good phone....

Also i had AT&T version LG optimus G for 3 days. I felt it a bit wide for me, same for Sony Z1. But S4's dimension feels good

I say don't go for Chinese manufacturers as your budget is a bit high. Buy from trusted brands so that you can have peace of mind.

Because its Xiaomi I'm ready to buy an imported Z3C..... Lets see, only time will decide what I will buy....

I guess waiting is my only option...

I can't opt for that exchange because of my geographic location

Just found a listing from another seller for Z3C, still imported one.... But only orange n black colour options, i was planning to buy white... Now planning on orange one
