Remove McAfee, Windows Defender is a better option. Use Kaspersky or Bitdefender if you want to buy something. Don't remove all apps. Apps like MaxxAudio are nice & should provide various eq settings, etc. There should be a Dell battery related software in which you can configure your laptop to stop charging at a set limit. I re-installed most of the Dell softwares when I did a clean install of Windows 6 months back.
Disable few unwanted softwares from startup & you should be good. If OS is in SSD, it won't matter much.
