Should I buy Ryzen 3600x now?

Hello folks,

I have started feeling that my existing system (specs in my sig.) is getting slower for my purpose and I should get an upgrade, and my existing system can be used by my father as its still pretty good for his uses.
My eyes are on Ryzen 5 3600x but not sure if its the right time to buy it. Should I buy it now or wait for 4 series?
I am looking to buy:

1. Ryzen 5 3600x
2. 16GB or 24GB 3200MHz DDR4 RAM
3. Please advise for a good motherboard (B450 chipset?)

EDIT: My overall budget for above three components is 40-45k approx.
I currently have 1060GTX 6GB and Corsair CX550w PSU which I'll keep using for now, until I save money for a high end card.
Primary purpose is AAA gaming at 1080p/1440p res.

This is not for a new PC, but for an upgrade.
Rather the main question is: is it worth to wait for 4 series right now?

Thank you guys. I'll wait for 4000 then.
Its just that I've started seeing CPU being consumed full when I run AAA titles. for ex. Flight simulator 2020, Horizon zero dawn, Death Stranding. Even in some cases, the CPU is kind of bottle necking the GPU, especially in Flight simulator 2020. I know its heavily dependent on the CPU but still, it is breaking the overall experience.
But I think I can live with it for now and wait for 4000.

Check the processes cpu consumption in task manager to confirm it is indeed the games & not some other process causing this utilization. Also check online reviews as sometimes some windows/graphics driver update also results in similar issue.

Judgement Time!!
I have a similar dilemma. I need to upgrade my system which is about 10 years old as it is on its last legs..I was planning an upgrade within the next 2 months or so...Do i wait for the 4th Gen AMD desktop processors or go for AMD 3rd gen?

Better wait for ryzen 4th gen unless you can get a very good deal in Oct sale on ryzen 3rd gen processors.

Yes, as its launch coincides with upcoming GPUs, if you have a budget of 80-90k at least. For a 60k or so budget, you can buy it right now if you want as next-gen budget GPUs aren't coming till next Summer, maybe. Best case scenario, RTX 3060 will be 30k & will be in the market by late Nov, new AMD CPUs will be out by then as well.
