Security Cameras for home security

So I intend to get a bunch of security cameras to put around in my multi story house for security purpose. I was thinking what's the best brand to go about looking.
I want to be able to track the security feeds from an app.

I have experience with a Mi camera that I bought 5 years ago *www.amazon.in/dp/B07PKTSBNV, but it's discontinued now. It's still working. And now I want to look for alternative brands.

For obvious reasons I am concerned about security. Don't want the camera feeds to leak on some cam sites like insecam.

Any experience anyone?

If you want a centralized surveillance system, try contacting an all-round service provider such as Hikvision. They will setup cameras for the perimeter of your entire property and the whole system is offline IIRC. The building with my flat uses their solution.

Try getting a quote from them.

My builder got the video door bell installed from hikvision. But it being Chinese company I was thinking for some alternative like cp plus for security cams.

Also being it offline means we can't access the feeds while we are away from home? How's your experience with hikvision?

The builder of my flat also put Hikvision video door phone. Though they also installed CCTV cameras from Hikvision as well. The perimeter cameras are connected to a control box and display next to the staircase so anyone can go and check footage. It's offline AFAIK.

Hmm. For security of the security cameras, I think offline are the best solution. And maybe I can reposition the existing IP camera on the main entrance.
It always boils down to convenience vs privacy.

You can always set up your own VPN in a cloud and have all security devices accessible within the vpn. That is the most secure way of exposing anything to the web. You possess the private key to the network and no one else.

Go for CP-Plus if you need any indian company, it's competitive as well.

Do you have synology NAS? You can use surveillance station on it.

Other than that it's the usual bargain you will need to do with 2-3 dealers.

Yes I have Synology NAS. And was also thinking to integrate surveillance station, but will have to figure out how that helps.
If there is no other alternative, I think CP Plus would be my choice.

IMO running your IP camera via VPN might be better and cheaper. You will have to setup something like OpenVPN or Wireguard on your home network though.
