Secondary Router Configuration for WIFI extender

My main router IP address is 192.168.100.1. And secondary router address is 192.168.1.1. what should be the IP address of the secondary router so that it can be configured as a wifi extender. I have changed it to 192.168.1.2 but it didn't work. Any suggestions.

Main Router is Huwaei HG 8245H and secondary router (Extender ) is Digicom DG-ZA204M.

In some WiFi routers, there's an inbuilt extender mode. So, depends a lot on model of primary & secondary router. Apparently TP Link ones don't have it.

It will only work if you have wds option in wifi settings in secondary router which I seriously doubt.
