I would like to buy the best scanner for a PHOTO STUDIO at the cost of around Rs.7000/= or somewhat more. Can you recommend me a best and latest one for the purpose?

I am not an expert but Canon CanoScan 9950F Scanner is good (but costs a lot more than your budget) and so is the CanoScan 8400F (around 18k) . They are supposed to be the best in the business.

HP has Photo quality scanners that are very good, but one product I would like to mention is the Canon Canoscan 300EX. Its USB2.0, 1200x2400dpi in 48-bit color, etc. plus all the frills, but the USP of this scanner is its ability to scan multiple images together without the problem of manually cropping the images. This thing automatically saves the images as separate files without any intervention. Price is around 4.5k, I guess.
