You have purchased a Mobile and to protect and safeguard please go through the following :



To check your Mobile phone's serial number, key in the following

but i had done just that .. when my Se was stolen in Jan ..... NOTHING HAPPENED !!!!! The operator just didnt do anything !

Probably this wouldn't be of much use. Firstly you can tamper/change the IMEI no. quite easily. seconldy as there are a lot of grey market phones sellig hee in India, which have their IMEI nos. So deactivating a phone on just the basis of IMEI is not that easy. though certainly you should know and keep your mobile's IMEI safely and the mobile too. ;)

yeah, and if every stolen phone was traced back then wouldn't the business of those companies be hampered!!!??? ;)

anyways its always better to write down the IMEI number somewhere. it does help when u send ur phone for repairs.
