My dad's old Nokia is dying so plannig to buy a new mobile. Phone should be from a reliable and trusted brand.(No Chinese phones)

1. Budget? 2 -4 k max
2. Display type and size? Preferably touch, 3 - 4 inch
3. Dual sim? Not required
4. Preferred choice of brand? - Preferably Nokia, Sony or Samsung
5. Good camera 3 - 5 mp
6. Preferred operating system? (Android, iOS, Windows Phone, etc). Android/Asha/Nokia Os/Windows
7. Primary use of handset? - Calling, Music, Camera
9. Any specific mobile phones in consideration? - Nokia Asha series
10. Any other info that you want to share? - Phone should be reliable and provide good after sales services.
11. Good battery life is mandatory.
Planning for Asha but worried about phone's discontinuation.

P.s. - My Dad's not so tech savvy, so want a simple user interface. He's above 60 years.

avoid all these chinese androids and feature phones, just get the lumia 530 by extending your budget a bit more
i myself was in a similiar situation last year for my grandad (75 year old),got him a Lumia 720 ,he absolutely loves it and has learned all its functions since windows phone is easy to use and lag free
plus nokia has great after sales, build quality etc
its the only phone you should consider imho!!
hope i helped!! :) feel free to ask any further questions

ps
avoid asha and androids ,my grandad had bought a asha 305 and hated it because it was not well made etc
asha series doesnt feel like a nokia and arent worth it,he also had a micromax canvas ,didnt like that either because androids at that price bracket arent well made except maybe moto and nokia x to an extent
either ways nokia Lumia 530 is a great phone for your needs

Bit confused now :( After giving phone to my dad, I would also need to gift one to my mom and to some other family members..so budget constraints..so wondering whether I should settle for an Asha...if so can you suggest one with touchscreen within 4k? (Also I think lumia 530 ui would be too complicated for him? )

i wouldnt suggest touchscreen because its very resistive etc
still a good sturdy handset is the asha 305

Atleast take a demo of Firefox OS based phones in local shops. I have tried Asha phones but the sluggish UI coupled with java based OS is a turn off for me.

Tried the Asha 500 and 501 models today. I think the Touchscreen is resistive or something, the device is terribly slow and camera is poor. Didn't get to test the audio and battery. Decided not to opt for it. Luima 530 is out of the budget as of now.

How about these two models? How are they?
