Redmi note 3 or moto g plus or anything else ?

i am about to buy a smartphone , for myself .. what are my choices ?

1. Budget?
A:10000-16000(max)
2. Display type and size?
A:fhd , 5-5.5"
3. Dual sim?
A:yes
4. Preferred choice of brand?
A:any brand , provided is has good presence in kolkata iro of after sales service .
5. What camera option you want (flash, front facing camera)?
A: rear camera with flash , front camera flash is not essential .
6. Preferred operating system? (Android, iOS, Windows Phone, etc).
A: android only
7. Preferred connectivity options (3G, 4G ready).
A:2g,3g,4g,volte(jio compatibility)
8. Primary use of handset (multimedia, camera, internet, gaming etc)?
A:voice calling , messaging/chatting , gaming (for 15 mins max at a strech) , photography , internet(via wifi)
9. Any specific mobile phones in consideration?
A:moto g4 plus , redmi note 3(3/32 gb) , coolpad note 5 , nubia z11 mini
10. Any other info that you want to share
A:my priorities
1. good battery life
2. dependable performance , good after sales service
3. shall be using it for more than 3 yrs .. so good build quality
4. dedicated sd card slot will be good ( not absolutely essential)
5. timely updates
6. fp scanner
7. should be relevent for at least 3 yrs

another question : many 3rd party insurance companies are providing coverage of one yr on new mobiles .. is it any good ? there have been reports of fraud .


what are my options ?

I am using le 2 it is better with all metal design,quick charge,camera is better or similar to moto G4 plus,performance is good getting 82k in antutu,display is good only con is lack of 3.5mm jack but they are giving type C adapter and little buggy software but le team is working on fixing this.

I was on same boat as yours. Confused between RN3 & MG4+ . I ended up ordering MG4+ & also an MI5, expecting the delivery of both soon. My short list was RN3, and it is a wonderful phone in all sense, but opted for MG4+ for preference of camera & stock android updates. Though not a hybrid sim slot, i think it is only dual standby. The extra micro SD card, u can only use it as media storage (cannot move apps) or u can merge it as extended internal storage (in this case, the card is encrypted by the device & i think even photos, or any data cannot be read by other devices, not sure how reliable that is in case of changing phone in future & if datas can be recovered easily during damages).

Both are good phones with their ups & down. Best thing when u are confused after short listing 2 phones, stick your mind to one & order it. I opted for MG4+ over RN3 even when i heard lot of heating issues etc for i am not some one preferring this phone for games etc

go for moto g4 plus you won't regret it, but i heard though it has 5.5inch screen it does feel like 5 or 5.2inch screen.

i had already short listed it - your confirmation of my choice is re assuring . However a have heard of nagging issues like overheating , lack of magnetometer etc , a rather outdated soc .. that keeps me worried

yup, for me lack of magnetometer is deal breaker, because i use GPS a lot nowadays.

Go for redmi note 3 u won't regret , in my office nearly 50 phones bought , no problems.

If stretch ur budget, then oneplus 3 is the best

i think redmi note 3 is best to buy. because now amazon offers latest coupon code offers for redmi note 3. so yoou can save your money by buying redmi note 3 mobiles.

compare to redmi note 3 moto g plus is best.
