Recovering crashed XP installation

My XP Prof affected by some trojan horse and no program was running. I got an error message that wininet.dll has been corrupted. Safe mode and other anti-spywares did not help me. I tried to overinstall XP. In the middle of the installation the systen reboots again and again without continuing afterthat. Now I formatted some other drive and installed XP. Can I recover my old installation?

Try pasting wininet.dll into your old windows' windows\system32 folder. Also install a very good anti-spyware in your new installation, scan and remove any trojans. Then you should be able to boot into your old installation. After that you can remove this new install.

You can use some data recovery softwares.... this could solve the problem upto an extent.. but not sure..yo!
