reboot system inserting usb flash drive

dear all
i have gigabite motherboard, pentium 4 processor, & 1gb ddr ram and os is windows xp sp3. when i inserting usb flash drive my computer restarts. the system restarts and restarts till removing usb flash drive.
the point is that i can use usb mouse, keyboard or bluetooth on this condition and they are working. my pc is 8years old.

please show me solution

most USB Flash Drives
doesn't required loading/installation of the special drivers.
Especially for Windows XP. You already
have check this issue, trying to plug
Flash-Drive to other PC.
But, some main-boards build based on
non-standard hardware and required to BIOS fix to USB2 connectivity works
properly.
Can you open a "Device Manager"
screen (without USB Flash-Drive
connected) and see if you have a
question/explanation marks for USB controllers? Also, it has to be some
"USB 2.0 ... Controller" mention.
So, if something not quiet well there,
check <YourMainBoardManufacture>
website for upgrades.

There may be virus in it too.
also maybe a mobo fault.
