Now... make people feel they r goin to burn.

That's the idea behind the stupidly named RayGun.
*i.a.cnn.net/cnn/2007/TECH/01/24/ray.gun.ap/vert.ray.gun.ap.jpg

• Ray gun so hot it makes enemies drop their weapons
• Technology is supposed to be harmless
• Officials say it could save lives
• System uses millimeter waves to barely penetrate skin

A sudden, 130-degree Fahrenheit (54.44 Celsius) heat, although not painful, feels intense enough to make participants think their clothes were about to ignite.

The weapon is not expected to go into production until at least 2010, but all branches of the military have expressed interest in it, officials said.

There is also a demo on the CNN link.

My notes:
Just a personal opinion, is'nt the whole idea a little krazy. Advertising a harmless gun on the CNN, a gun supposedly made to make people afraid of burning, and after everyone comes to know of it, beginning the production & all major military organisations interested in an open secret:shock:!
Now, who's gonna get afraid of a harmless ray-gun? Esp.. one that is advertised as harmless!!!
