RAM

i have 2 ADATA XPG GAMMIX D30 8GB DDR4 3200MHZ RAM sticks in my computer (Ryzen 5 3400G, ASRock B450 Pro 4). facing occassional BSOD issues for the last month. today i checked the memory with windows memory diagnostics.
as soon as it started, it showed "Memory problems can cause your computer to lose information or stop working. To identify and repair the problem, contact the computer manufacturer."
when it restarted, i checked event viewer and it showed the following :View attachment memory issue.jpg

it appears either of them has developed some fault. soon i will check it with memtest86 and hope to identify which one has the issue. if it has some issue, then it needs to be replaced.
i am thinking of adding a 32gb module in it. will there be an issue even when both of them are 3200mhz? any specific brand to go for?
thanks.

corsair is generally reliable when it comes to memory-i dont think there will be any compatibility issue with 16/32 gb modules-but better check your mobo's RAM compatibility list for details on supported memory types.

I use a pair of Corsair Vengeance sticks.

If you are not going to upgrade your RAM capacity, I have two spare 8GB GSkill Ripjaws V sticks I can sell you.

i can go for the same brand that i have as it has worked well for the last 5 years. ADATA Premier 32GB 3200MHz will cost around 4500. unfortunately crucial website compatibility test says their 32gb CT32G4SFD832A is not compatible with this motherboard and suggests only 16 X 2 sticks.

thanks @quicky008 well iirc ryzen 5 3400g is picasso and this is what asrock website says for picasso architecture

since the current one is 3200mhz and the new one i will get too will be 3200mhz so i think it should work.

On the product page for asrock b450 pro 4 i couldn't find any supported memory list for picasso cpus. While support for 32 gb dimm may be sketchy,i am quite sure it would most likely work with 16 gb dimm.

thanks a lot, i know that as crucial 16gb page says it is compatible and i have found out that it is always accurate at least for me / whatever i have checked till now.

you can email asrock support and ask it to them directly

checked few places and it says check ram sticks individually. will do that in a day or two but how beneficial will it be for replacement as iirc the lifetime warranty was for 5 years only and these were purchased on 22/12/2019.
