i have 2 x 1GB transcend ram in my current system
but from the looks of it, its just not going to cut it for overclocking.
so i was thinking of buying some new ram for my system

please suggest good ram that i can buy which will be good when it comes to overclocking and still not be insanely expensive

The model which i suggested is G.Skill F2 6400CL5D 2GBNQ

Here is a highly detailed overclocking report of these sticks

ionic. from the looks of the article, those modules seem rather expensive. close to 9k for 2 gb :|

could you perhaps suggest something a tad bit cheaper? lol
also those particular modules are not available here..

No man, this article was posted in Feb 2007, at that time these babes were costly...I bought them from lynx-india last april for some 2300 bucks, and they are super good rams..

okies i have been searching all over the net related to ram ..
and seems that D9 chips in ram as considered to be the best.
i very much doubt that any of the hardware vendors will even know that.. unfortunately the only way to know is to remove the heat spreader and if i were to do that the vendor would mostlikely chew me alive :|

any1 know of any place in mumbai that sells crucial ram ?
cause they have only D9 chips in them ..

btw sachin.. that ram aint available any more :(
