THE NEW UPDATED BENCHMARK RESULTS

FULL REVIEW

BENCHMARK PAGE

Nvidia has sent mail to journalists in the PC enthusiast space calling into question some of its code. Their claim is that changes were made to some shaders and default "under the hood" settings that impact performance on Nvidia cards without making a substantial difference to the performance of ATI cards. We are unsure at this point if these code revisions will appear in the DX10 patch for the full game or not. Before everyone cries foul, we should note that this sort of thing happens a lot, and often in Nvidia's favor, thanks to their strong developer relations program.

Well I already posted the details of this test.Ati has paid the team call of juarez to optimise it for their cards and also make it use such shaders which make the geforce cards perform poor. It's nothing but fake. They r trying to fool us.

^^so who should the public trust then? nvidia or ati? the dx10 benchmarks are going nowhere...

First, there was the public demo of Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, which came in both DX9 and DX10 variants. That was a major letdown. Not only does it basically not work at all on ATI's DX10 cards, it runs terribly slowly on Nvidia's without looking any better than the DX9 version.

The first actually released DX10 game, sort of, is Company of Heroes. As of the new 1.7 patch, DX10 support has been added to spruce up the graphics a little bit. This at least looks marginally better than the DX9 rendering path and works properly on all the new DX10 cards (with the latest drivers, naturally), but it's still a bit of a letdown. The performance cost is pretty severe, given the modest visual improvements.

Are dx10 games beating the hell out of these cards?

What the hell is this directx 10.One of the biggest letdowns of 2007.What we have to really do is wait for G92.Well the 8800GTX is said to be 2 times the performance of the 7800GTX so coupled with the efficiency of directX 10 it should give extraordinary performance and not below ordinary performance. The thing is that microsoft has fooled us into buying a costly piece of crap. Also most games r optimized for nvidia so its better one buys nvidia crads, yes crads.:D

wow! so much difference. ati is getting good
What makes u think that ati is any good?Don't u see that that it's beating nvidia in juat one benchmark. It should be quite obvious that ati has some contract with the call of juarez DirectX 10 team.
DX10 ati card flaws
1)Extremely slow shader clock speed(nvidia has much higher speed)
2)Software based antialiasing with HDR(Extremely slow compared to hardware based antialiasing on nvidia dx10 cards)
3)Slow hardware shadow mapping(nvidia is much faster than the competetion)
Moreover new version of Call of juarez dx10 benchmark makes use of such shader instructions that slow nvidia cards without introducing any graphical enhancements compared to previous versions it also force software antialiasing on nvidia cards thus depriving the nividia users of a major advantage of hardware AA.It also does not improve performace on ati cards compared to previous versions.
When ever u say somethingh about them please do some research work on the net.

The ATI 2600pro is for competing against Geforce 8500gt and the ATI 2600Xt is for the Geforce 8600gt and as u would have got it by now a geminie version of the ATI 2600XT is for the Geforce 8600gts.
