Query on my motherboard's RAM compatibility?

My PC specs below..

CPU Intel Pentium E5700
RAM G.Skill 4.00GB DDR3
Motherboard Gigabyte G41MT-S2
GPU NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti (ZOTAC)

I just installed Windows 10 64 bit OS. To harness the full potential of "64 bit" OS, I bought Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 RAM from Amazon. It turns out Corsair RAM doesn't work with my old Motherboard.
I'm currently using G.SKILL 4GB DDR3 1333MHZ RAM (Link -> Flipkart Amazon), can I get the same RAM again and run both parallel?
Also, what exactly is the problem with the Corsair RAM not compatible with my motherboard? I thought RAMs will down-clock themselves and run smoothly if combined with old motherboards.

Hi ghemanth90,

For any hardware setup, you have to check the specification and the compatibility of the MOBO with other devices. For RAM setup, all the sticks will need to run at the same voltage, speed and timings. If any one of the statics are different to each other in settings, then the RAM channel configuration shows as incompatible or it will unrecognized by the MOBO.

In your case, you might need to up the RAM voltage a bit to compensate for new setup.

Good Luck.
