Wht? Where did u get this from? NVIDIA GeForce 6600 is Windows Vista capable. It is a good card. It's an entry level card. Don't expect to run recent hi-fi games smoothly on it with full detail graphics.

Right off the assembly line
its x1300 xt but go for atleast x1600 so that you could have all latest game play or 7600gt or gs both are good

That card will definitely support Windows Vista........

he is right GEFORCE 6600 supports sm2 and it will surely support vista but will not give you full boost in performance and graphics for that you need a DX10 card 8800 gt or gtx

SOURCE: nvidia website

says that FX5200 and above all are VISTA capable cards..

Then i think i can run vista too(may be not too smoothly but then i used to run XP with 128 mb ram when 256 was recommended for it)

i know X1600 = 7600gt

nooope!

x1600Pro=6600GT ......

Well....you seem to be confused between 6600 and 6600GT....well...both are Vista Capable......6600 runs very cool...and can be overclocked to a gr8 extent.....6600GT runs warm...but its designed to work at that temps....75-80 when oc'ed.....and can be oc'ed a gr8 extent...
