Problem with openSUSE

Hey friends, I have logged here after one month. Have anyone of you installed openSUSE 10.3 from digitDVD. I have installed it and have problem that when I start linux from dropp down menu(as I have windows xp also) then a progress bar of white colour comes, when it is completed then the screen goes blank. The installation was successfull without any error. I have reinstalled it several times I think 4 times but the problem persists. Tell me what can b the prob.

press ctrl+alt+F1
type root at prompt
type root password and login
Now at root prompt type yast, and go to hardware->graphics and monitor
and configure your graphics card and monitor from there
After you finish press ctrl+alt+F7 and then ctrl+alt+backspace
