Prefetch EMPTY !!!

I remember i had once emptied the prefetch folder.Since then,it has gone empty and i don't know how to get its contents filled back again. Can someone help?

Use Microsoft Bootvis(Google search it) tool...it will regenerate your prefetch files.Use the optimize system command from the dropdown menu in bootvis for this.

First see that all Task Schedular Service is running or not. If not enable it.

Now navigate to the registry key

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management\PrefetchParameters]

And change the value of "EnablePrefetcher" to 3. It should work.
(If "EnablePrefetcher" does not exist u need to create it.)
