Married!
This has never happened that i havent finished reading an issue one day flat. I just lost interest in this mag. It has become just another magazine.
I hope the "New Parents" would do some soul searching and zep up this magazine, whch has a cult-like following here.
I will wait for another 2-3 months to see if Digit really improves or these complains fell on deaf ears.

Broken In
Mag was OK... DVD could have been good IF IT WOULD ONLY F***ING WORK. Team Digit, Please fire the contractor who burns these Dual Layer DVDs for you.
In December we had a lot of issues (and I mean a LOT). None of the 5 DVDs I got worked, and 3 out of 5 replacements didn't work. This time around, I am stuck with the same issue... another useless disk which doesn't work.

saqib_khan

I M A *STAR*
Someone said right, the quality is downgrading.

For sometime they r publishing fasttrack on useless topics.
The mag is also not good.
The quality of CD/DVD is also very bad.

Please digit, work on this.

Right off the assembly line
Received Jan issue today.CD was in very bad condition. It seems somebody trampled upon it,somehow recovered the more or less useless contents.Hope that changes at top infuse some new life in the digit

Make Way the LORD is Here
i though that the mag would improve with 9.9 media buying it.. but it has not
my dvd is not working again!
the mag contents are not that good
a review of only flash drives.. man i have got used to 2 sets of shoot outs/reviews in each mag .& i wont take 1 even if u have zero1 awrds to print which u are copy pasting from previous reviews:(

personally i feel the zero1 awards is a waste of pages we buy the mag for the whole year . we already know whats good from the reviews . & the contenders in most of the section of zero1 award were the previous tests runner-ups!!!.. come on man u can do better than this...
the zero1 awards should be a 2-3 pages article ..just naming the winners & runner ups with a little description
& last but not the least the fast track..it was hopeless .. most of us around here know all this stuff reading ur mag itself..

the 1st time i bought digit in june 2001 it had in depth reviews of firewalls, antivirus etc... it was much more technical... digit is getting kind of lame for me.. cuz now they have stepped down a level on the technical part to appeal to a broader audience :(
& the damn no. of pages & articles keep on decreasing it is now only 128 pages!!! it used be 150 + a year ago
+ their are the adds..but i wont complain against them cuz a magazine needs it to keep costs down but dont decrease the no. of pages..
we buy the mag for the articles & not for the stuff u give on the DVD we can get those free software on the net!!!

i am sorry to say but i am switching to a different mag..:(

In the end i would like to thank digit for converting me into a open source & free software user junkie:p. & moving me away from piracy.
it was a nice journey & i was loyal to u for 7 years..!

anyway my favourite article in the digit mag last year was G80 vs R600

give me more articles like that & i will buy digit again

PS- hope the post isnt too long..:D....man this thing sounds like a letter:-D
