Hello friends, I own a Lenovo thinkcentre desktop.. my specs r
I5 6400
8gb ddr4 ram
500gb HDD.
Problem is that I wanted to add a gpu ..but my psu is just 180w.. and I think it's not enough ..
Also my motherboard power connector has just 10 pins unlike 20+4 pins found on regular psu..
Can someone help me find out a good psu which meets all these criteria ??
Thnx in advance ..

Yeah 180w is too low for psu ..infact it's 80+ bronze rated but still low... Mobo is fine. Though I m not gonna overclock either cpu or GPU until I get a new build.

That's not the only issue. The graphics card might not even fit inside the cabinet.

You can't overclock that CPU anyway.
Pls check this image .. won't any GPU fit ??*uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180528/dac8c277a4598e1c01203e609ccb2341.jpg*uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180528/89089fbaf9eaf4575ba25fc233dbd078.jpg

Can't check whether any decent GPU would fit in that cramped cabinet by seeing pics alone.

Just for psu ..450w but my Mobo has 10 pin power connector

That's the thing. Consumer PSUs don't have that connector. You would need to dump current PSU, mobo and cabinet if you want to do any kind of upgrades for playing games.

I found this cable adapter which converts 24 pin to 20 pin...
But my concern is that will it be safe ??*uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180605/f484ed0f0687872280bd3ce8699eea01.jpg

Enough to buy a gtx 1060 n a decent 500w psu ..
But will this adapter help me .. I m worried it may damage my pc components
How much have you saved for GPU and PSU? without knowing we can't help.

Don't pair a GTX 1060 with that cramped cabinet and OEM mobo. It might be ok for a 1030, but 1060 could be bottlenecked.

Ohh will it ??
How about 1050ti ??

Don't know about the specifics of the mobo or the inner cabinet dimension. There could be clearance issues. You won't be able to use just any consumer PSU because of the mobo connector.
