Extender for the 12V EPS connector. Good for routing and cable management. At times some PSUs have short ones.

Hi,
Last night I was changing my cabinet so I was assembling all the stuff again to my newly bought NZXT phantom cabinet. As usual i connected all the devices which included 3 HDDs, 1 Graphic Card, 1 Sound Card, 2 DVD Drives all these thing were connected with my old cabbie and it was working just fine. Yesterday the only extra thing i connected was NZXT's external fan controller which has a separate card which needs power supply to control the fan speeds and detect the temperature.
Now when I turned on the system it gave continuous 5 short beeps and then it booted and worked fine. I removed 1 HDD and tried again but the same thing. On consulting the MB manual it suggested me the overload on the PSU. So I removed the Fan controller and connected all the fans to the Cabby's fan controller. This thing solved the beeping issue.
I still am not clear that whether it was due to that fan controller card or what? I'm using Gigabyte's 460 Watts PSU.
If this is due to PSU then I may need to buy the PSU. Please advice?

^^
Try with only the boot HDD and the fan controller connected.

I tried 1 HDD the Fan Controller and the Soundcard connected....but it gave the same beep....the fan controller card needs no PCI input...it just needs the power thru 4pin connector...

Seems you FAN controller is causing a short circuit some where. Can you try the unit on another machine. Just hook it to any spare molex off the PSU.

Guys got my Corsair 2GB DDR3 1333MHz RAM an hour back which I had ordered from the theitwares.com.Yet again the packaging was excellent. The Corsair cover is much better than that of the Zion one which I had bought from one of the local retailers at my place.Yet to plug it in my system.
