Me and friend on scooty, me using earphones, he mounting scooty, his leg gets tangles in my earphone wires and then my phone goes off flying

I never bothered with custom launchers, a lot of my friends are using them, I had tried everything from Nova to Apus, and they don't provide my anything extra that I need. I do use a couple of custom widgets though.

Custom launchers are always worth it. Both for Customization as well as speed. And by customization I don't just mean the crazy animation inside app drawer that resemble gadgets from sci-fi movies. The custom icon packs , renaming apps, gesture support are some of the cool features that makes custom launchers worth installing for me.

I tried many launchers too but just nova is the only I liked. Simple, cool, sleek and classy. Nothing more, nothing less. And stock launcher looks kinda ugly to me.

Finally cinnamon ,
Basically centered the icons , used a conky theme, changed its font. i did have problems centering it (i think its less noticeable now),
Icon theme -mcmojave-circle-blue-dark
desktop theme -orchis compact dark(its a 720p display)

I even tried switching completely to LMDE (but repos were too slow)
