Please suggest Laptop around 80K INR

umamahesh

Right off the assembly line
1) What is your budget? (INR or USD)
Around 80000 INR. If below requirement doesn't cost this much with good lifetime it is of great help.

2) What size & weight consideration (if any) would you prefer?
14" - 16" screen
No preference on weight

3) What are the primary tasks you will be performing with this notebook?
Mostly for work from Home
Programming & Virtual machine instance hence looking for Minimum 8 GB RAM and ability to extend. I am currently using 16 GB RAM Laptop (upgraded).
Also I wont be playing any games, hence dont want to invest or burden the resources (even if it is not true). Hence no gaming type is preferable.

4) Any typical configuration in your mind you're eying for ?
SSD Hard disk of capacity 500 GB (and if possible HDD provided as well)
Enough features like USB ports and ram slots to be reasonably ready for any upgrades.

5) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
a. Like: Any known brand having service centers in all major cities.
b. Dislike: Currently using 15.6 inch Lenovo, hence dont want to buy from same company. No complaints though.

6) Anything else you would like to say?
Screen resolution ( 768p (HD) / 900p / 1080p (Full HD) ) - Nothing specific
Battery back up ( normal (3-4hrs) / extended (5-7hrs) ) - Nothing specific
Purchase place ( Online (eg - flipkart, infibeam) / Local / Abroad (do mention the country) )
I might buy direct from the near by company branch otherwise Amazon/Flipkart

Also please feel free to suggest any other items i should consider.
Thank you very much

Best performance but RAM can't be upgraded:
Buy Acer Swift 3 SF314-42 14-inch Laptop (AMD Ryzen 5 4500U Hexa-core processor/8GB/512GB SSD/Window 10, Home, 64Bit/AMD Radeon Graphics), Silver Online at Low Prices in India - Amazon.in

1 RAM slot, apparently it is populated by 4GB stick, 12GB RAM possible:
Buy ASUS VivoBook 15 Intel Core i5-1035G1 10th Gen 15.6-inch FHD Thin and Light Laptop (8GB RAM/1TB HDD + 256GB SSD/Windows 10/MS Office 2019/2GB NVIDIA MX330 Graphics/Grey/1.75 kg), X512JP-EJ233TS Online at Low Prices in India - Amazon.in

Almost all laptop prices have increased after lockdown due to higher demand & supply chain issues affecting supply.

Comments suggests screen quality is poor(btw it is also 45% NTSC) & colours look washed out. Is this common for all 45% NTSC panels?

Yeah. Even a bit cheap 1080p IPS monitors have 100% sRGB coverage (maybe 70% NTSC), so 45% NTSC looks dull. But if you have been using cheap laptop displays all your life, it won't bother you. I have been using such displays for many years before current laptop which has 100% sRGB 144Hz IPS panel & out of the box, I appreciated better colours first before the 144Hz refresh rate. For general usage, its hard to tell the difference between 60Hz & 144Hz. For games running at 144fps, yes, I can see the difference that it is smoother.
