However, would prefer sub 40K if I can get a laptop with good screen and build quality in that price.

For sub 50,000 : 4th gen ci5, 6 GB RAM, 1TB HDD
Should come preloaded with win 8
My priorities: Display > Keyboard and touchpad feedback > snappy multitasking performance > Build quality
4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
a. Like: DELL (Really like inspiron 15 however have heard a lot of negative things about its glossy low quality screen)
b. Dislike: HP (Have heard about overheating and service problems for this brand)
