Please guide: Intel CPU or AMD Ryzen?

Hello guys, i am planning to buy a new CPU. My main purpose for usage will be web development and android app development. For app development as you know the official Android Studio IDE uses and processes a lots of memory. I am on a tight budget and all i can think of is between Intel® Core™ i5-7500 Processor or AMD Ryzen™ 5 1500X.

Please guide. Thanks.

For anything besides gaming(for now,with updates this may change too) AMD Ryzen provides more value for money spent because of more cores/threads & overclocking potential.

4 cores, 4 threads vs 4 cores, 8 threads, your choice. I'd picked neither, would've gotten a R5 1600 instead and then overclock it.

As far as i know , Android studio official emulator does not have hardware accelerated virtualization support for AMD cpu's yet in windows.. either Linux or gennymotion i think...
do explore this aspect in detail before buying..

uh oh! Android Studio supports AMD on linux only for VT. Thanks for brightening me up.
